My sister and I used to have a pretty great Disney collection on VHS. We watched them all the time. And when we got a bit older, my mum lent them to her sister, for her younger children. And then DVDs came out, and she slowly replaced them all, so my mum asked for the videos back, because they were ours and we liked them and wanted to keep them.

I want to rebuild my Disney collection on DVD now. Playing all my old Megadrive games last night reminded me of when we went to Disneyland Paris and it was so ridiculously wonderful, like I know that sounds silly but there is literally no other word for what Disneyland is. And I want to sit and watch Aladdin and Aristocats and the Lion King (Robert’s never seen it!) and Fantasia, and SNOW WHITE, and Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan and Jungle Book.

Fuck it I’m going to the Money Exchange they must have some decent DVDs up there.

After several years of picking the series up and putting it down again, I FINALLY finished the last Harry Potter book this morning. I cried a lot.

I read them obsessively when the first four came out, totally disappeared into them. And then I stopped for some reason, and then I read the fifth, and then never picked the last two up. So just before Christmas I bought them and started reading them all through, one by one. They really are fantastic books.

We can’t go the the Big Game LAN party in Southampton this weekend, Robert has his job interview at work on Monday. BOO HISS.

Since it was my birthday present he’s really apologetic, I might take this opportunity to tell him about all the video games I want.
